James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy films are as well-known for their “Awesome Mix” soundtracks as they are for the films themselves. This continued with The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special which was full of offbeat Christmas songs from bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Hanoi Rocks, The Pogues, and many more.
While Marvel released a score album for the Guardians Holiday Special it only had the two original songs by Kevin Bacon and The Old 97’s; sadly it wasn’t a complete “Holiday Mix” soundtrack.
