Today’s new figure added to the shelf, the X-Men ‘97 Wolverine.
It raises the question: How many Wolverines do we need? Especially since just last year we already got a Wolverine based on the animated series, but in the VHS Box instead of individually carded like this one. Because other than different heads, the two figures seem pretty interchangeable.
This one is not as brightly painted as the much more cel-shaded VHS boxed Wolverine. I find myself actually preferring the less accented colors on this new X-Men ’97 version. But there’s little reason to add both to your collection unless, like me, you want to complete your Legends collection with each release and variant Hasbro doles out.
